Our Approach to the Community

We recognize the importance of our stores as an essential business that provides fuel, food and other necessities for customers and communities. Across our locations, our workforce reflects the good-natured hospitality of the surrounding regions, and we strive to offer menus, items and services tailored to the local flavor.

In addition to essential products and services, our business provides employment opportunities and taxes, as well as charitable contributions to support children, education, athletics and health-related causes in the communities we serve.  In 2021, Refuel stores raised nearly $24,000 in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to fund research to advance lifesaving treatments for cancer.  In addition, our Double Quick chain, continues to build relationships with organizations and people in its operating area. Double Quick’s contributions have supported more than 25 local organizations in Mississippi alone, including monetary, gift card and food donations, marketing sponsorships and more.

In 2021, Refuel stores began supporting Convenience Stores Against Human Trafficking to broaden awareness against this ongoing problem. Convenience Stores Against Trafficking (CSAT) is a program of nonprofit IN OUR BACKYARD, engaging the convenience and petroleum industries to play a vital role in the fight against human trafficking. CSAT equips convenience stores with training on human trafficking for their employees and provides life- saving materials to post in stores.

As a good neighbor, we maintain various avenues for communication and feedback. We regularly engage with our stakeholders through social media channels and, our favorite means, in our stores.
